Hi, I’m Dr. Shayne Taylor (she/her)

I’m a physician board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and the owner of Blue Canyon Primary Care PLLC.

Don’t be surprised if you see me in jeans, Birkenstocks, and sipping on a cold brew coffee —and I encourage you to show up just as true to yourself. This is how meaningful relationships are built.

Even though our encounters may feel easy and casual, the care that I provide will be attentive, thoughtful, and serious. I thrive on unraveling complex medical histories, collecting the data, and piecing together a tricky diagnosis or crafting a personalized treatment plan.

My training and faculty experience at Vanderbilt University Medical Center gave me a broad foundation in both inpatient and outpatient care, preparing me to approach even the most challenging cases with confidence.

Whether I’m holding you accountable to reach your self-care goals or holding your hand through a life changing diagnosis, I’ll be there to care for you in sickness and in health.

The story behind

Blue Canyon Primary Care

You might be wondering why a practice in the Pioneer Valley is named after a canyon. This name honors the experience of my parents.

Roughly 45 years ago, they traveled the country to find a new place to start a medical practice and lay the roots for our family. With two young kids in tow, they landed in Tucson, Arizona and named my father’s practice Canyon Cardiology.

Years later, I find myself in a new community that was selected with the same care and precision. With my two kiddos at my hip, I am building my own practice.

The name “Blue Canyon” honors that legacy and reflects my love for the Sonoran Desert; my original home. For my own family, I am replacing the saguaros with the maple trees.

When I’m not in the office, I’m usually spending time with my husband and daughters, enjoying the little things that make life meaningful.
